Hi, my name is

Viktoria Roussina

And I believe in the power of stories as a tool for self-discovery and connection.

Born and raised in Sweden, to a Colombian mother and a Russian father, my life was the start of a story from the first breath I took.

I grew up as a 4th culture child, never fitting in anywhere but at the same time feeling home everywhere - a citizen of the world.

My quest for my own identity took me from the woods of Hälsingland, Sweden to Stockholm, to Madrid & Mallorca in Spain and latest to Berlin, Germany.

My story begins with stories...

Since I was a child, stories have been my passion - written, told, shown, played, imagined - it didn’t matter the format.

I wrote magical realism short stories as a 7-year old, directed “news” productions as a 10-year-old and blogged about teenage philosophy as an 18-year-old.

Stories have always come naturally to me, either by life experiences orchestrated by the universe or as inspiration through people, articles, songs or as a random thought while riding my bike.

... and storytelling followed me to work

For the past 10 years, I've been telling stories through my professional career.

I told stories about heritage and craftsmanship as a Sales Associate & Store Manager for Italian and English luxury fashion houses.

I told stories about food retail trends and consumer behaviour as an Account Manager at the leading global market research company.

I told stories about the future of Social Media and storytelling itself as a Strategic Venture Developer for the leading fashion e-tailer in Europe.

Then, the Universe decided to test me

I have always felt most fulfilled when I can help people, in one way or another.

However, I had not noticed that in the process of doing so, I forgot to put myself first and denied helping myself. This led slowly, but surely, to a catastrophe. The year I turned 30, everything around me crashed and burned and I was physically and emotionally broken down to the ground. With support from a transformational coach, I released all that was holding me down:

I quit my job at a European unicorn company.

I quit my apartment of +75m2 in a high profile neighbourhood in Berlin.

I quit my relationship with a person that, on paper, had all the characteristics I looked for in a partner.

I quit all of the above within a timeframe of 3 weeks during summer 2019 and I had no plan B for neither one.

Because I realized the values of the business didn’t align with my own, I was no longer motivated and questioned my role in what we call “life” - I was unhappy.

Because I realized that, besides sleeping, I spent a total of 2 hours/weekday in a place that was 60% empty - I was unhappy.

Because I realized that no matter how compatible you are with a person on paper - interests, day rhythm, diet, humour - it all comes down to compatibility on a communication & energy level. And with the current state of the affair, I was unhappy.

But I am an optimist and believer

In the midst of it all, I realized that my personal worst-case scenario, if I would take the “risk” and quit it all, is that I move back in with my parents in the Swedish woods - with Wi-Fi.

With my newfound perspective, I acted, without a Plan B.

As soon as I did, the universe aligned in my favour - through random encounters & opportunities, via tough decisions and prioritizations and by truly looking inside of myself - and the support from a full potential coach who helped me re-discover myself: my strengths, my quirks, my limitations, my gifts, my superpowers - through developing solid mindest practices enhanced with an action-approach. Through this, I reconnected with:

  • my superpowers - storytelling

  • my passion - to write

  • my lifelong dream - to become a published writer, and,

  • my purpose - to inspire and motivate people through stories

My Vision and Mission

I believe stories serve as a tool for self-discovery as well as a way to connect with people around us.

My vision is that all as human beings love and honour themselves fully and completely - mind, body, soul and story - and thus become joyful, fulfilled and purposeful people. And by doing so, be able to connect with other humans on a deeper level that brings us balance and peace.

My Mission is to inspire and encourage humans to do so by sharing my personal stories, raw and authentic, as well as guiding those that reach out to me for support in their own quest of identifying and sharing their personal story.
